Arthrochilus huntianus (Orchidaceae): Elbow Orchid

This is a saprophyte and a pseudo-copulator. The insect-like structure is irresistible to a particular male wasp which, in a mating frenzy, causes the arm to swing (the hinge is very flexible) so that the real insect comes into contact with the claw-like structure which includes the column where pollen exchange occurs. This orchid is definitely not easy to find. The flower is about 10 mm across
